The teams that will compete in IPT 2017 are:

• Colombia – Winners of the Colombian National Selection: Universidad de los Andes
• Croatia – University of Zagreb
•  France – Winners of the French Physicists’ Tournament: UdL – ENS Lyon – UCBL
•  France – Runner-up of the French Physicists’ Tournament: École polytechnique
• Germany – Winners of the German National Selection: Goethe University Frankfurt
• Greece – Winners of the Greek National Selection
•  Italy – Politecnico di Milano & University of Milan
• Russia – Winners of the Russian Physicists’ Tournament
• Russia – Runner-up of the Russian Physicists’ Tournament
• Slovenia – University of Ljubljana
•  Sweden – Winners of the Swedish National Selection: KTH Royal Institute of Technology
•  Sweden – Runner-up of the Swedish National Selection: Chalmers University of Technology
•  Switzerland – Winners of the Swiss National Selection: Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne
• Ukraine – Winners of the Ukrainian Physicists’ Tournament: University of Kharkiv
• United States – Dartmouth College
•  Venezuela – Universidad Simon Bolivar

If any of the teams are unable to participate for financial or other reasons, their place will be offered to runner ups in other national elections on the discretion of the International Organizing Committee.
